The Editors and Publisher of The Journal of Pediatrics are pleased to announce a redesign of The Journal, beginning with the July 2009 issue (Volume 155, Issue 1). The design team was led by Monica Helton, Managing Editor of The Journal, with the support of Pam Poppalardo, Publishing Director of Elsevier, Inc., and Roger Dowd of Roger Dowd Designs.

As preferred by our readers, the full Table of Contents continues to appear on the cover, but an efficient new arrangement improves readability and provides a more organized approach to The Journal's contents. Section headings have been given added prominence so that readers can easily identify their favorite article types and features. Building from the color that has long distinguished The Journal, a fresh new blue is used throughout the journal to provide visual interest.
