Toe-walking

Article Outline

In this issue of The Journal, Pernet et al of Robert Debré University Hospital examine the topic of early onset toe-walking in toddlers. Using the Grand Rounds format, they present the case of a 17-month-old boy with persistent toe-walking. In addition to the routine clinical information and photographs, they have provided a video of his gait, which is available at www.jpeds.com. After extensive discussion of the case including differential diagnosis, Pernet et al discuss the most effective current therapy for the child's problem, which was diagnosed as idiopathic toe-walking.
