Health-related quality of life in young children with type I neurofibromatosis (NF1)

Health-related quality of life was assessed in 34 Dutch children, age 12-72 months affected by NF1. The results are published in this issue of The Journal by Oostenbrink et al. The results show that most aspects of quality of life were reduced in these children particularly physical functioning, growth and development, general behavior and parental impact. The lowest scores were seen in children with complications from NF1.
